HOUSTON – An invitee at a Houston gas station alleges she was injured after slipping on ice.

Gloria Ortiz filed a complaint on July 9 in the Harris County District Court against Landmark Industries, doing business as Timewise Food Store, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan 17, she was injured when she slipped and fell at defendant's store premises in Houston due to ice on the ground.

The plaintiff holds Landmark Industries responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to inspect the premises to discover the dangerous condition and make it safe and failed to inform its invitees of the existing danger.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of over $200,000 but less than $1 million and all other and further relief to which plaintiff is entitled. She is represented by Benjamin C. Kennedy of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
