BEAUMONT – A Falls County man injured by electrical lines at a Huntsville worksite alleges two companies failed to maintain a safe work environment for contractors.

Cody Krumnow filed a complaint on July 3 in the Jefferson County District Court against Entergy Texas Inc. and Momin Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 23, he was working at defendant Momin's business premises in Huntsville and near the vicinity where he was working were electrical lines owned by Entergy. He alleges while he was working, electricity from the nearby lines arched and struck him, causing extensive burns to his hands feet and other parts of his body.

The plaintiff holds Entergy Texas Inc. and Momin Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to properly and timely mitigate any job hazards, failed to ensure the power lines were within code and failed to warn of failing power lines.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants, jointly and severally, for damages based on evidence, with interest and such other and further relief to which he is entitled. He is represented by Anthony G. Buzbee, Peter K. Taaffe, Christopher J. Leavitt and Crystal Del Toro of The Buzbee Law Firm in Houston.
