GALVESTON – A Dickenson resident alleges she injured her knees and shoulder in a fall at a League City grocery store.

Christin Bocanegra filed a complaint on July 18 in the Galveston County District Court against The Kroger Co. and Kroger Texas LP alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 1, 2017, she was shopping at Kroger store in League City when she slipped in water and fell forward, landing on her knees and hands. She alleges she sustained injuries to her knees, back and left shoulder, resulting in pain, mental anguish, lost earnings and medical expenses as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds The Kroger Co. and Kroger Texas LP responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to warn of the condition or failed to make it reasonably safe.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and all other relief that are legal and equitable. She is represented by Brian E. White and Rusty Harrison of Brian White & Associates PC in Houston.
