HOUSTON – A Hitchcock woman alleges she was suspended without pay from her job with a school district after filing a report about a manager's conduct.

Rashunda Gipson-Jackson filed a complaint on July 19 in the Harris County District Court against Houston Independent School District alleging retaliation and sexual harassment.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff began working for the defendant as a bus driver for the 2017-2018 school year. She alleges beginning in September 2017, a terminal manager began sexually harassing her and on March 6, she filed a sexual harassment/rape statement with the defendant's police. The suit states she was suspended March 9 without pay.

The plaintiff holds Houston Independent School District responsible because the defendant allegedly discriminated and retaliated against her for filing a complaint of sexual harassment and rape.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks front and back pay, general damages, interest, attorney's fees and such other and further relief to which she may be entitled. She is represented by Landon S. Keating of The Keating Law Firm in Houston.
