HOUSTON – An invitee of a Houston restaurant alleges she fell because of food that was on the ground.

Dorotea Ramos filed a complaint on July 24 in the Harris County District Court against Deli Management Inc., doing business as Jason's Deli, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 18, she was an invitee at defendant's establishment located at 5403 FM 1960 Road W. in Houston when she slipped on food that had fallen on the ground. She alleges she sustained injuries to her back, knee, wrist, arm and hip as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds Deli Management Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain the premises and failed to correct the condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and all other relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by John Arthur Daspit and Muhammad Abdel-Rahman of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
