HOUSTON – A Harris County woman alleges an auto dealership prosecuted her on false allegations.

April Marie Gray filed a complaint on July 24 in the Harris County District Court against Rakan Farah Khbies, doing business as Premium Auto Sales, and John McEuen alleging wrongful conduct.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 8, 2015, she purchased a vehicle from the defendants on installment. She alleges she paid a $500 down payment but that McEuen, a Premium Auto Sales employee, wrote on paperwork that she paid $2,500 as a down payment.

The plaintiff alleges the vehicle had constant mechanical issues that the defendants promised and failed to correct, so she purchased another vehicle and told the defendants to collect the vehicle she purchased from them at another dealership. The suit states the defendant reported the vehicle as stolen and the Harris County district attorney later dismissed the charges against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff holds Khbies and McEuen responsible because the defendants' alleged conduct caused her emotional and financial injuries.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 and such other and further relief to which she may be entitled. She is represented by Adjua Umoja-Justice of The Justice Law Firm in Houston.
