GALVESTON – A customer of a Texas City restaurant alleges the business failed to warn invitees of a wet floor.

Ruth Hunter filed a complaint on July 24 in the Galveston County District Court against Edogawa Japan Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 31, 2017, she was a customer at defendant's restaurant in Texas City when she slipped and fell due to wet flooring. She alleges she suffered pain to both knees, back and left wrist as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds Edogawa Japan Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly breached its duty of care because it failed to place wet floor signs.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief between $100,000 and $200,000 and such other rand further relief to which she may be entitled. She is represented by Byron W. Boenig of The Boenig Law Firm in Houston.
