HOUSTON – A dock collision in Pasadena two months ago has yielded a personal injury lawsuit, according to recent Harris County District Court records.

Wilson Cormier filed the suit against TPC Group Inc. on Aug. 3 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas, stating the collision between the defendant’s vessel and the barge he was working on caused him to fall.

“Despite the presence of a barge already at the dock, and despite being aware of the plaintiff’s work, and the exposure and danger to the plaintiff, the defendant directed the Yochow vessel to enter and dock,” the original petition says.

Cormier asserts that TPC failed to ensure there was sufficient clearance available at the dock for another barge. He adds the incident left him with injuries to his back and leg.

Consequently, Cormier seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

Anthony G. Buzbee and Andrew Dao of The Buzbee Law Firm in Houston are representing the complainant.
