HOUSTON – Collectors Firearms, Inc. is suing Black and Gold Guns & Ammo, LLC and one of its representatives on claims the defendants made false statements about it in an effort to sour its business.

In a lawsuit filed on July 30 in the Harris County 164th District Court, the plaintiff alleges that Gordon Taylor, while representing Black and Gold, defamed it twice in a year’s span.

Court documents say Gordon told the Houston Police Department last year that the complainant was offering bribes to secure its business. Last month, he told a private individual and potential supplier that the plaintiff would “cheat and steal” from her if she entered into business with it, the suit says.

“As a proximate result of the defendant’s statements, the plaintiff suffered harm, including, but not limited to, lost business opportunities, lost contracts and a higher cost of transactions,” the original petition states.

Consequently, the complainant seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

It is represented by Chad Pinkerton and Katie Banks of The Pinkerton Law Firm, PLLC in Houston.
