GALVESTON – A Clute resident alleges she was terminated her job with a Freeport company because of her complaints of discrimination.
Leah Monroe filed a complaint on Aug. 2 in the Galveston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Excel Maintenance Services Inc. alleging discrimination and retaliation.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff began working for the defendant in 2014 as a production operator and alleges she was subjected to discrimination because of her gender. The suit states on April 20, she was terminated from her employment.
The plaintiff holds Excel Maintenance Services Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly discriminated because of her gender and retaliated against her by terminating her for complaining of the discriminatory treatment.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, reinstatement to her position, pre- and post- judgment interest, costs and expenses and all other relief to which she is justly entitled.
