Lawsuit: LaTrelle's responsible for air traveler's allergic reaction to baked potato

Lawsuits

HOUSTON – A state district lawsuit alleges Kingwood-based LaTrelle’s bore responsibility for a Louisiana woman’s allergic reaction to a baked potato almost two years ago.

Court papers filed on Aug. 6 in the Harris County 334th District Court explain that Stephanie Dixon Young bought the item at a Wendy’s restaurant managed by the defendant at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and requested no onions. Young informed the eatery that she did not want onions because she was allergic.

Onions, however, were purportedly added and the plaintiff experienced difficulty breathing and seizures before, during, and after her flight to Las Vegas.

LaTrelle’s failed to serve the requested food that was purchased by the plaintiff, the suit says.

Consequently, Young seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

She is represented by Patrick O’Hara of the O’Hara Law Firm in Houston.
