HOUSTON – A Cleveland woman alleges she had to quit her job at a restaurant because of sexual harassment from a co-worker.

Sondra Hamilton filed a complaint on Aug. 6 in the Harris County District Court against Southeast Restaurant Group Main LLC citing the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff began working at the defendant's TGI Friday's restaurant in Humble in 2004. She alleges that as a result of continuous sexual harassment by a co-employee, she was forced quit her job on July 23, 2017.

The plaintiff holds Southeast Restaurant Group Main LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly constructively discharged her because of its failure to correct or prevent the sexual harassment.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by Robert R. Debes Jr. and Dorian Vandenberg-Rodes of Shellist Lazarz Slobin LLP in Houston.
