HOUSTON – A former employee of a Sugar Land business alleges her gender was a factor in her termination.

Koretta Knox filed a complaint on Aug. 6 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Z & G Enterprises alleging retaliation and sexual harassment and discrimination on the basis of gender.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff began her employment with the defendant in 2007 and was assigned to manage a Dairy Queen. She alleges beginning in 2017, her supervisor subjected her to sexual harassment and that after rejecting his sexual advances, she was eventually terminated in 2017.

The plaintiff holds Z & G Enterprises responsible because the defendant allegedly intentionally discriminated against her because of her gender and subjected her to a sexually hostile working environment.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks back wages, plus interest, punitive damages, attorney's fees and costs and all other relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by DeSean Jones of DeSean Jones Attorney at Law in Houston.
