MARSHALL – A woman whose vehicle was rear-ended by a truck in Cass County is seeking damages from the truck's driver and his employers.

Tara Traylor filed a complaint on Aug. 9 in the Marshall Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Central Arkansas Petroleum Transport Inc., Tri-State Truck Center Inc., Lamara Leasing LLC and Ronathan Jaquin Hayes alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 11, 2016, she was traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 59 in Cass County when defendant Hayes caused the Volvo truck owned by the corporate defendants to strike the rear of her vehicle. She alleges she suffered injuries resulting in medical expenses, pain and suffering, mental anguish, disfigurement and loss of earning capacity as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Central Arkansas Petroleum Transport Inc., Tri-State Truck Center, Inc., Lamara Leasing LLC and Hayes responsible because Hayes allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to timely apply his brakes.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, post-judgment interest, costs, fees and expenses and all other and further relief to which she may be entitled. She is represented by Brent Goudarzi and Marty Young of Goudarzi & Young LLP in Gilmer.
