HOUSTON – Alleging her order from a northwest Harris County Buffalo Wild Wings sickened her, Lanae Reed has pursued legal action against the casual dining establishment.

Reed’s lawsuit claims the plaintiff suffered “infectious gastroenteritis caused by Norovirus and Clostridium difficile” after eating chicken wings and French fries at the defendant’s restaurant on Dec. 10, 2016.

“The unwholesome and poisonous condition of the food was not discoverable by the plaintiff’s ordinary inspection and she did not know and had no reasonable way of knowing that the food was unwholesome, poisonous, and unfit for human consumption,” court documents filed on Aug. 17 in the Harris County 333rd District Court state.

Consequently, Reed seeks unspecified monetary damages.

She is represented by Craig W. Carlson and Kathryn L. Knotts of The Carlson Law Firm, P.C. in Bryan.
