HOUSTON – A technician for a Dallas-based telecommunications company has filed a lawsuit alleging he was physically attacked last year at an apartment complex in the city’s Sunnyside neighborhood, per recent Harris County District Court records.

Vinh Nguyen’s suit faults The Michaels Organization for failing to provide an adequate security presence its Kings Row Apartments at 4141 Barberry Dr., claiming the oversight attributed to three unknown assailants assaulting Nguyen on Dec. 4, 2017.

The plaintiff, an AT&T employee, went to the apartments to perform an unmentioned job at the time of the subject event.

Court papers filed on Aug. 20 in the Harris County 127th District Court assert the attack was unprovoked. They argue the apartments are located “in an area where a significant amount of criminal activity occurs.”

Consequently, Nguyen seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

He is represented by Michael S. Tilton and John A. Caston of the law firm Tilton & Tilton LLP in Houston.
