HOUSTON – A Tomball restaurant faces a personal injury lawsuit from a Midland County woman who sought employment with it, recent Harris County District Court records show.

In court documents filed on Aug. 21 in the Harris County 165th District Court, Cora Libby Thomas claims she slipped and fell at The Nook Grill on Aug. 29, 2016 after a job interview with the eatery.

The suit asserts that several dangerous conditions resulted in the incident in question, including, but not limited to city code violations and no walkway striping.

Thomas reportedly suffered “a sever displaced fracture to her right distal radius for which orthopedic surgery including a metal plate and (eight) screws were necessary to obtain internal fixation.”

Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

She is represented by Ernest “Bo” Hopmann, III of the Law Offices of Ernest “Bo” Hopmann, III in Houston.
