SHERMAN – A Collin County man alleges his credit score and history have been injured because of the actions of a debt collector and original creditor.
James Sackey filed a complaint on Sept. 6 in the Sherman District of the Eastern District of Texas against Central Credit Services LLC and Questcare Medical Services PLLC alleging that they violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges in April, the defendants reported an alleged debt of $278 owed to Quest on his Experian and TransUnion credit reports. He also alleges CCS did not provide him with an initial contact notice within five days of his initial contact.
The plaintiff holds Central Credit Services LLC and Questcare Medical Services PLLC responsible because the defendants allegedly violated the FCRA by furnishing erroneous information on his credit report.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, litigation fees, expenses and costs and such other or further relief as the court deems proper. He is represented by Shawn Jaffer of Shawn Jaffer Law Firm PLLC in Dallas.
