HOUSTON – A Harris County woman alleges she was injured at a craft supplies store in Cypress because of a hole in the floor.

Patricia Jewell filed a complaint on Sept. 4 in the Harris County District Court against Inland Western Cypress Mill Limited Partnership and RPAI Southwest Management LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 27, 2017, she went to the Hobby Lobby store in Cypress to shop. As she walked through the entrance, she alleges she tripped on a hole in the common area on the floor and fell. She alleges she sustained injuries which resulted in pain, mental anguish, lost wages, disfigurement and medical expenses as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds Inland Western Cypress Mill Limited Partnership and RPAI Southwest Management LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to fill the hole and failed to give adequate and understandable warning of the unsafe condition.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other and further relief to which she may be justly entitled. She is represented by Eric D. Nielsen of The Nielsen Law Firm PC in Houston.
