HOUSTON – A Harris County man alleges he sustained an eye injury while corralling animals for his employers.

David Guevara filed a complaint on Sept. 10 in the Harris County District Court against Texas Farm-Fresh Halal Meat LP and Hussain & Irfan Management LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 29, 2016, he was working for defendants corralling livestock when the animals became spooked and struck him in the eye. He alleges he suffered serious and permanent injuries, mental anguish, pain and suffering, medical expenses, reduction in earnings and disability as a result.

The plaintiff holds Texas Farm-Fresh Halal Meat LP and Hussain & Irfan Management LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to implement safety policies and practices, failed to provide proper assistance and training and failed to provide proper tools to perform the required job duties.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other relief to which he is entitled. He is represented by Loren G. Klitsas and Jared W. Capps of Klitsas & Vercher PC in Houston.
