HOUSTON – Huffman Independent School District is alleged to have failed to pay a company in full for work on its buildings after Hurricane Harvey.

PAL Environmental Safety Corp. filed a complaint on Sept. 19 in the Galveston County District Court against Huffman Independent School District alleging breach of contract and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 29, 2017, plaintiff provided materials and services for emergency work related to Hurricane Harvey at defendant Huffman ISD's buildings and facilities for the sum amount of $129,806.53. After receiving payments of $99,734.29, the balance of $30,072.24 allegedly remains unpaid.

The plaintiff holds Huffman Independent School District responsible because allegedly in spite demand for payments, the defendant failed and continues to fail or refuse to pay the said amounts or any part thereof.

The plaintiff seeks actual damages, interest, attorney's fees, costs and all other relief to which plaintiff is entitled. It is represented by Michael Jacobellis of Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker LLP in Houston.
