HOUSTON – A Home Depot shopper seeks more than $100,000 over alleged injuries caused by a piece of lumber that struck her nose.

Neal Price filed a complaint on Sept. 25 in the Harris County District Court against Home Depot USA Inc., doing business as The Home Depot Inc., alleging citing premises liability.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 24, 2017, she was shopping at defendant's Home Depot store when a piece of lumber hit her in the nose. She alleges she suffered injuries, including but not limited to, profuse bleeding from the nasal cavity and visible damage to her nose.

The plaintiff holds Home Depot USA Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to inspect where the dangerous condition existed and failed to correct the condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000 and such other and further relief to which he is justly entitled. She is represented by Kiernan McAlpine of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
