Galveston resident alleged to have defaulted on loan to Florida individual

GALVESTON – A Bay County, Florida man alleges a Galveston resident failed to repay a loan in full.

Chad Wade filed a complaint on Sept. 26, in the Galveston County District Court against Romell J. Thomas alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2017, defendant borrowed $44,000 from him and the note's expiration date was May 15, 2017.

On April 19, the suit state the plaintiff sent a letter to defendant demanding to cure his defaults and remit payments. 

The plaintiff holds Thomas responsible because the defendant allegedly continued to make interest payments until the end of 2017, but failed to repay the principal as required by the terms of the note.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of $100,000 or less and all other relief to which he is entitled. He is represented by Ashley N. Joyner of Mills Shirley LLP in Galveston.
