HOUSTON – A registered nurse alleges she sustained a concussion while working at a Pasadena facility because of a slippery floor.

Sandra Z. Martin filed a complaint on Sept. 27 in the Harris County District Court against Dillar Stone Healthcare Co. LLC, doing business as Baywood Crossing Rehabilitation Healthcare Center, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 31, 2016, she was working part-time for the defendant when she slipped and fell while helping a patient to transfer to a wheelchair. She alleges she sustained a concussion and a fractured wrist as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds Dillar Stone Healthcare Co. LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide safe flooring, failed to provide adequate supervision or warnings and failed to provide necessary equipment to do her job safely.

The plaintiff seeks actual damages, plus interest, costs and such other and further relief to which she may be entitled. She is represented by Scott J. Davenport of Davenport Law Firm PC in Houston.
