HOUSTON — Bridget Valdez filed a complaint on Oct. 1, in the Harris County District Court, against Party City Corp., alleging that the party goods supplier failed to keep its premises safe.

The plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 31, 2017, she was shopping at defendant's business when she slipped on a piece of slick material on the floor.

She allegedly was injured, hurt, disfigured and suffered mental anguish. She lost wages and incurred medical costs.

The plaintiff holds Party City responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to correct or remedy the dangerous condition and failed to warn customers of the danger.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief between $100,000 and $200,000 and such other and further relief to which she is entitled.

She is represented by Kraig L. Rushing, Scott R. Frase and Barrett W. Beck of Bronston Legal PC in Houston.
