HOUSTON – A Houston man alleges his former employer owes him unpaid overtime wages.

Obiel Blandon filed a complaint on Oct. 9 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against 1612 Paris LLP, doing business as Oakdale Manor Apartments, and John F. Strathman alleging unpaid overtime compensation.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was employed by the defendants as a general laborer and maintenance worker and regularly worked more than 40 hours per week. He alleges he was paid the same amount weekly regardless of the number of hours he worked.

The plaintiff holds 1612 Paris LLP and Strathman responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay a rate of time-and-one-half of his regular wage rate for all hours worked beyond 40 per workweek.

The plaintiff seeks unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, attorneys' fees, costs, interest and such other and further relief as may be allowed by law. He is represented by Mark Siurek of Warren & Siurek LLP in Houston.
