HOUSTON — A customer is suing Escape Nails & Spa and KT Escapes, citing gross negligence and premises liability, after she allegedly slips and falls down on a wet floor.

Vanessa Esparza filed a complaint on Oct. 11, in the Harris County District Court, alleging the defendants failed to keep the floors safe.

The plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 6, 2017, she slipped and fell on a substance on the floor. She suffered significant injuries to the neck, back and other parts of the body, she alleges in a lawsuit.

The plaintiff holds Escape Nails & Spa and KT Escapes responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate warning that the floor was wet and failed to clean up the floor in a timely manner.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of over $200,000 but less than $1,000,000. She is represented by Sofia E. Bruera of Bruera Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
