HOUSTON – An alleged incident at a local mall’s ice skating rink last year has resulted in legal action.

In a lawsuit filed against Simon Property Group Texas, L.P. and American Sports Entertainment Co., LLC, doing business as HG Ice Center, LLC, on Oct. 13 in the Harris County 281st District Court, Lynna Fabiola Colunga asserts that a young male skater ran into her without warning and knocked her down while teaching her son how to skate at Ice of The Galleria on July 31, 2017.

The collision reportedly caused Colunga to suffer multiple injuries. She asserts that she did not cause the subject event.

Court papers fault the defendants for failing to monitor and protect its patrons.

Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages.

She is represented by Carrigan & Anderson, PLLC in Houston and the Law Office of Juan P. Reyna in Corpus Christi.
