HOUSTON – A Harris County resident alleges she was injured while working for a Galveston County restaurant because of tea on the floor.

Carol Carrier filed a complaint on Oct. 15 in the Galveston County District Court against South Shore Grille LLC, doing business as South Shore Grille, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 16, she was in course and scope of her employment with the defendant when she slipped and fell on tea that had dripped on the floor. She alleges she sustained severe and extensive injuries as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds South Shore Grille LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide her a safe place to work.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which plaintiff may be justly entitled. She is represented by Jeffrey N. Todd of The Todd Law Group PLLC in Houston.
