HOUSTON – A Houston woman alleges she was injured at a business in the city while making a delivery because of water on the floor.

Camelia Sherdell Rush filed a complaint on Oct. 16 in the Harris County District Court against Steve Ford Jr., doing business as West Orem Recreation Game Room, and Arturo Zuniga alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on June 22, the plaintiff was at the defendants' premises to deliver food and was severely injured in a fall caused by leaking water from the cooler and/or refrigeration unit. She alleges she sustained substantial injuries to her lower back, both knees and left foot as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds Ford Jr. and Zuniga responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to give warnings of the unsafe condition and failed to remove the water that caused the fall.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of $100,000 or less. She is represented by Jason B. Swanson in Houston.
