HOUSTON – A delivery truck driver's alleged negligence is blamed for damages to a Metro bus.

Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County filed a complaint on Oct. 22 in the Harris County District Court against Tastee Kreme No. 2 Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 26, 2017, its Metro bus was involved in an accident in the 16300 block of South Post Oak Road due to the carelessness of defendant's employee, Juan Carlos Beltran. The plaintiff alleges it sustained damages in the sum of $3,289.54 as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Tastee Kreme No. 2 Inc. responsible because defendant's driver allegedly entered an active lane of traffic without first using a turn indicator and failed to pay attention to driving conditions.

The plaintiff seeks damages totaling $3,289.54, interest, costs and such other and further relief to which it may show itself justly entitled. It is represented by Jon P. Bohn in Houston.
