BEAUMONT – A Jefferson County man alleges he was injured in a collision with a Newtron Beaumont employee in Bridge City.

Marcos Zamora Ortega filed a complaint on Oct. 12 in the Jefferson County District Court against Newtron Beaumont LLC and Blake Holst alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 8, he was involved in an automobile accident in the 5000 block of West Roundbunch Road in Bridge City due to the carelessness of defendant Holst, an employee of defendant Newtron. He alleges he suffered injuries resulting in medical expenses, loss of earnings, mental anguish and disfigurement as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Newtron Beaumont LLC and Holst responsible because Holst allegedly negligently failed to control his speed, failed to timely apply brakes and failed to use evasive actions to avoid the collision.

The plaintiff seeks actual and punitive damages, costs, interest and such other and further relief to which he may be entitled. He is represented by Cody A. Dishon and Timothy Ferguson of The Ferguson Law Firm LLP in Beaumont.
