BEAUMONT – An employee of a Beaumont grocery store alleges he sustained injuries while moving pallets.
Emmanuel Young filed a complaint on Oct. 16 in the Jefferson County District Court against Kroger Texas LP alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 17, 2017, he was in the course and scope of his employment with defendant and was injured while attempting to move pallets. He alleges he suffered serious injuries that resulted in medical expenses, pain, mental anguish, disfigurement and loss of earnings.
The plaintiff holds Kroger Texas LP responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate assistance and supervision for the job to be done and failed to provide a safe place to work.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of $100,000 or less and all other relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by Mariah Bhatti and John Arthur Daspit of Daspit Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
