HOUSTON – An administrative assistant for a towing company alleges she was not paid for overtime work.

Jennifer Miller filed a complaint on Nov. 2 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against G & H Towing Co. alleging that the Texas corporation violated Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff has worked for the defendant since 2008 as an administrative assistant. She alleges she frequently worked in excess of 40 hours per week and did not receive overtime premium for all hours worked over 40.

The plaintiff holds G & H Towing Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay overtime premium at the rate of one-and-one-half times her regular rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, attorney’s fees and costs and such further relief as the court deems just and equitable. She is represented by Josef F. Buenker and Vijay Pattisapu of The Buenker Law Firm in Houston.
