Worker sues over ankle injury allegedly caused by nail gun

HOUSTON – A Harris County man is suing his employer following an alleged mishap with a nail gun.

Hamilton Luis Perez Tinoco filed a lawsuit against Bayou City Truss, Inc. on Nov. 5 in the Harris County 269th District Court, claiming that the defendant failed to provide him a safe workspace last Apr. 18.

According to court documents, Tinoco tripped in his work area while constructing trusses. The nail gun he was using went off and shot a projectile into his left ankle, the original petition states.

Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

He is represented by The Gutierrez Law Firm, Inc. in Houston.
