'Empty promises': suit says Pasadena man did not receive topographical survey

HOUSTON – An alleged failure to produce a topographical survey is the focus of a Pasadena man’s breach of contract lawsuit.

Rodolfo Loredo, doing business as Dhawk Grease Services, initiated legal action against The Jacobs International Group, Inc. and its purported proprietor, Andre Jacobs, on Nov. 5 in the Harris County 151st District Court.

Loredo accuses the defendants of violating their 2017 verbal agreement in which he paid $11,355 for the survey in question, which was supposed to be conducted for a property located at 413 W. Harris in Pasadena.

JIG and Jacobs responded to Loredo’s “several” queries about the project with “empty promises,” court papers say.

The suit further asserts that the survey was not performed despite Loredo paying the respondents $5,355. The plans have not been approved by the City of Pasadena to this day, according to the original petition.

Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages.

He is represented by James M. Harrison of the J.M. Harrison Law Firm, PLLC in Pasadena.
