HOUSTON – The law firm Pierce Skrabanek, PLLC in Houston has filed a lawsuit against a local bar on behalf of a woman who claims that she was involved in a motor vehicle accident with one of its patrons almost two years ago.
Megan McDonald’s state district suit faults MC Entertainment, LLC and Nightlife HTX, LLC, both doing business as Eagle Houston, and Stanford Street Holdings, LLC for serving alcohol to Vladimir L. Vivas Medina prior to the collision in question on Dec. 19, 2016.
Court papers filed on Nov. 6 in the Harris County 165th District Court assert that Medina, who is not a party in the litigation, had a 0.237 blood-alcohol content when his vehicle ran into an Uber vehicle carrying McDonald and her friends at the intersection of Tuam Street and Smith Street in the city’s Midtown neighborhood.
Consequently, the complainant seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.
