HOUSTON – A subcontractor is seeking more than $1 million in damages after falling three stories at a construction site.

Armando Nunez filed a complaint on Nov. 12 in the Harris County District Court against Sevilla Services LLC and Alberto Monsivais, doing business as Monsivais Construction, alleging negligence and premises liability.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that while working at defendants' worksite in Aubrey as a subcontractor on March 19, he was injured when a beam he was using for support gave way and caused him to fall three stories to the ground. He alleges he needed three surgeries because of his injuries.

The plaintiff holds Sevilla Services LLC and Monsivais responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to exercise reasonable care in directing work-related activity and failed to enforce safety policies and procedures.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million and such other and further relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by Timothy Hightower and Ivan J. Capellan of Hightower Capellan in Houston and Gloria Villattoro Flores of Law Office of Gloria Villatoro Flores in Houston.
