Car accident 08

HOUSTON – A woman is suing an auto repair shop over allegations the brakes of her vehicle failed and caused a collision.

Bobbie Houston filed a complaint on Nov. 19 in the Harris County District Court against Bridgestone Americas Inc., doing business as Firestone Complete Auto Care, alleging products liability, breach of warranty and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 11, she was injured when she was involved in an accident after the brakes of her vehicle failed. She alleges prior to the accident, the defendant performed repairs on her vehicle.

The plaintiff holds Bridgestone Americas Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to perform its work in a good and workmanlike manner, failed to properly install the products and failed to properly test the products.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and exemplary damages, with interest, costs and such other and further relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by Adam Q. Voyles and McKenna Harper of Lubel Voyles LLP in Houston.
