HOUSTON – A truck driver alleges he was injured by chemical vapors at a Karnes County site.

Jose Gonzales Jr. filed a complaint on Nov. 26 in the Harris County District Court against EnerVest Operating LLC, et al. alleging negligence, premises liability and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 8, 2017, he was hauling crude oil at defendants' Foegelle Dugie Lease worksite in Panna Maria when he was exposed to and inhaled chemical vapors and became ill. He alleges the defendant did not do anything to make the location safer after the reports of chemical inhalation symptoms.

The plaintiff holds EnerVest Operating LLC, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly did not exercise reasonable care to reduce or eliminate the risk of the condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, with interest, costs of court and all other relief to which he is entitled. He is represented by Will Sciba III of Cole, Cole, Easley & Sciba PC in Victoria.
