HOUSTON – A nail salon worker has brought a slip and fall lawsuit against her employer.

Ngoc Nguyen’s lawsuit, which was filed on Nov. 27 in the Harris County 164th District Court, blames the plaintiff’s purported injuries on Lan To, doing business as Escape Nails & Spa.

According to Nguyen, the defendant overwatered a plant near the washroom of the business “to the extent that the water would overflow onto the floor.”

The plaintiff recalls slipping on the “deteriorated” floor and falling on her back on July 20, 2017.

Consequently, she seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

Don T. Nguyen of the law firm Nguyen & Kan in Houston is representing the plaintiff.
