Northwest Houston Dentists patient seeks damages after falling down allegedly dark stairs

HOUSTON – A patient of a Cypress dental clinic is seeking damages after falling on the premises.

Veninder Kaur Birak filed a complaint on Nov. 26 in the Harris County District Court against Northwest Houston Dentists, et al. alleging premises liability.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 5, 2016, the plaintiff underwent dental work at defendants' clinic in Cypress that lasted until after business hours. While exiting the dark premises, the suit states the plaintiff slipped and fell down the stairs and suffered severe injuries and significant damages. 

The plaintiff holds Northwest Houston Dentists, et al. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to leave enough lighting for patrons until all patrons had left the premises.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which plaintiff may be justly entitled. The plaintiff is represented by Adam Ramji of Ramji Law Group in Houston.
