HOUSTON – A Harris County woman alleges she was injured at a store in the county because of a phone cord left on the ground.

Pamela Dunn filed a complaint on Nov. 27 in the Harris County District Court against Batie's Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 6, 2018, she was leaving the defendant's store when she tripped over a clear plastic phone cord on the ground and was injured.

The plaintiff holds Batie's Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to correct the dangerous condition or to warn plaintiff about it.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of less than $75,000 and all other relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by Jerry W. Mason of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
