HOUSTON – A woman alleges a wet floor at a Cypress store caused her to fall.

Seema Rizvi filed a complaint on Nov. 28 in the Harris County District Court against Gerland's Realty LLC, doing business as Food Town No. 203, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 20, 2016, she was shopping at defendant's premises when she slipped and fell in an aisle that was just recently mopped. She alleges she sustained serious injuries resulting in pain, mental anguish, disfigurement and medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds Gerland's Realty LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to post warning signs alerting shoppers about the wet floor.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant for all damages, costs, interest and such other and further relief to which she may be entitled. She is represented by John J. Kahn Jr. and Jennifer H. Kahn of The Kahn Law Firm PC in Pearland.
