HOUSTON – A Harris County woman alleges she was injured at a store in Webster because of a fall allegedly caused by a wet floor.
Miranda Giovannotto filed a complaint on Dec. 3 in the Harris County District Court against Target Corp. alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 3, 2017, she was walking at defendant's Target store premises when she slipped and fell on a wet floor. She alleges she sustained serious injuries that resulted in medical bills, pain, mental anguish, disfigurement and diminished earning capacity as a result of the fall.
The plaintiff holds Target Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to correct the unreasonably dangerous condition and failed to adequately warn invitees of such condition.
The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which she may be justly entitled. She is represented by Wade D. Moriarty of Crim & Villalpando PC in Houston.
