HOUSTON – A local woman has pursued legal action after a run to a Webster fast food restaurant allegedly caused her to suffer food poisoning.

Harris County District Court records show that Cassandra Brooks brought a lawsuit against Emerge! Properties, LLC; Delish Enterprises, Inc.; and Tatertotexas, LLC on Dec. 12 in the 151st District Court.

Brooks claims that food items she purchased from the defendants’ business on the morning of last Aug. 20 had a “bacterial infestation” resulting from improper cooking.

According to the plaintiff, her illness required immediate hospitalization.

Consequently, Brooks seeks unspecified monetary damages.

She is represented by the law firm Waobikeze & Associates, P.C. in Houston.
