HOUSTON – A Houston homeowner is seeking more than $1 million over an allegedly leaky roof from the business who installed it.
Steve W. Bergquist filed a complaint on Dec. 12 in the Harris County District Court against Advanced Roofing Solutions LLC alleging breach of contract and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 31, 2017, he contracted defendant to install a new roof on his residence located on Buckingham Drive in Houston for $55,000. The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to fully perform the work and the roof leaked when it rained, causing damage to the wallboard.
The plaintiff holds Advanced Roofing Solutions LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to install overflow drains of proper height according to code, install vent pipes and properly install drains.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million but not more than $10 million. He is represented by Steve Shellist in Houston.
