HOUSTON – The law firm Pierce Skabranek PLLC in Houston has filed a lawsuit on behalf of a worker who allegedly sustained foot and ankle injuries earlier this year.

Harris County District Court records show that Engin Kaya’s suit was filed against Schlumberger Technology Corp. on Dec. 19 in the 151st District Court.

Court filings explain that Kaya, who was employed Amerit Fleet Solutions, was working inside one of the defendant’s truck wash bays when he stepped on a water drain grate. The “dilapidated” grate reportedly gave way and caused the plaintiff to hurt his left foot and ankle.

Kaya says that he was in a cast for several months following the event in question.

Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.
