HOUSTON – A Cleveland man alleges he was injured while shopping at a home improvement store when an object fell on him.

Jorge Robles filed a complaint on Dec. 26 in the Harris County District Court against Home Depot USA Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on July 12, 2018, the plaintiff was shopping at defendant's Home Depot store in Houston when a block of wood fell on him. He alleges he sustained serious injuries and needed medical attention as a result.

The plaintiff holds Home Depot USA Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide assistance to their shoppers and failed to provide adequate warning or caution signs of the existing danger.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of less than $75,000 and such other and further relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by Hussein Hadi, Jamil Thomas, Carnegie H. Mims III and Sedrick Stagg of The Hadi Law Firm in Houston.
