Fish & Richardson announced that four attorneys – Elizabeth Brenckman, Kelly Del Dotto, Dr. Tasha Francis, and Daniel Gopenko – have been recognized as 2018 “Rising Stars” in the U.S. by Managing Intellectual Property (MIP).
Elizabeth Brenckman is a principal in the firm’s New York office, where she works on high-profile trademark and copyright litigation matters before federal district and appellate courts and the International Trade Commission. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in 2008 and her B.S., summa cum laude, from St. Cloud State University in 2004.
Kelly Del Dotto is an associate in Fish’s Delaware office, where she focuses her practice on complex patent litigation, with an emphasis on life sciences, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical litigation, including Hatch-Waxman litigation. She received her J.D. from Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law in 2013 and two bachelor’s degrees, summa cum laude, in English and biology, from Norwich University in 2010.
Dr. Tasha Francis is an associate in Fish’s Twin Cities office, where she is a member of the firm’s life science litigation group. She has extensive experience in Hatch-Waxman, biologics, medical device, and other life sciences cases, from the due diligence phase through trial. She received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, cum laude, in 2013, her Ph.D. in chemical biology from the University of Michigan in 2010, and her B.A. in chemistry and mathematics from Dartmouth College in 2002.
Daniel Gopenko is an associate in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, where he advises technology companies on how to protect their IP and avoid infringement risks. He has represented clients in federal district courts throughout the country. He received his J.D., with honors, from George Washington University Law School in 2012 and his B.S., cum laude, in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland in 2009.
